The Thatcher Family Adoption Journey

We started the process to adopt a little sister for Emma in July of 2005. After completing all of the paperwork, background checks, medical appointments, and home studies, we finally recieved at match to a little girl in China over 2 years later. We recieved a call from our agency on February 4, 2008 that we were matched to Qu Le Bei, born on June 25, 2006. She has been living in the Qujiang Social Welfare Institute in the Guangdong Province all of her life. Her American name will be Ava and will keep Le Bei for her middle name.
