Hi Everyone. Yes, we are still here in Guangzhou and Ava is fitting in just fine in the Thatcher Family. She is showing us new sides to her personality every day and it is fun to watch. I cannot believe the adventures that the Thatcher family is having in China! Certainly a few that I did not imagine! (Fortunately, I still see Scott in the photos, so he must not be geochacheing sp? himself into trouble!) All of you look so great together!

You don't know me, but my neighbors, Anne and Mike Callender (not sure if I got that last name right), learned that my family is also in the process of adopting from China, and gave me your blog to check out. I have so thoroughly enjoyed reading about your adventures and your adjustments. I've also been reading your friend's blog (Lily). Thanks so much for sharing your adventure. May the rest of your travels go smoothly, and may you all quickly adjust to life back at home with your new daughter.
When you have some time, I would love to hear your thoughts on bringing your older daughter to China with you--how old is she? We have an 11 year old son and a 7 year old daughter who desperately want to travel to China with us, but we're not sure it would be the best trip for a family trip to China as I imagine a lot of the time would be spent taking care of adoption business, and not as much sightseeing/shopping etc. Would love to hear your thoughts when you have time!
Which agency did you use? We are using CCAI, and are now only waiting for our I-171H before getting the dossier authenticated and sent off to China.
